Established in 2013, Pinnacles National Park is one of the newest national parks in the United States. The park is about two hours drive from San Francisco in central California, and is known for its unique rock formations, which were created by the movement of the Earth's crust. The rocks are also home to a variety of plants and animals, including the endangered California condor. Visitors to the park can hike, climb, and camp in the park's backcountry.
