The Great Smoky Mountains National Park straddles the border between Tennessee and North Carolina. It is the most visited national park in the United States with over 11 million visitors per year.


The park was established in 1934 and covers over 800 square miles and is home to a diverse array of plant and animal life, including over 400 species of birds, 67 species of mammals, and 50 species of fish.
