Saguaro National Park in southern Arizona, is home to the iconic saguaro cactus. The park is divided into two sections, the Rincon Mountain District and the Tucson Mountain District. Both districts offer a variety of hiking trails, camping opportunities, and ranger-led programs.
The Rincon Mountain District is the larger of the two districts and is known for its scenic views. Hiking trails in this district range from easy walks to strenuous hikes, with the most popular trail being the 8-mile round-trip hike to the top of Mica Mountain.The Tucson Mountain District is smaller and less crowded. It is known for its desert landscapes and is home to the popular Javelina and Cactus Loop Trails.
