New River Gorge National Park Patch

Located in West Virginia, the park is situated on the New River, which is a tributary of the Kanawha River. The park encompasses an area of 72,000 acres and is managed by the National Park Service.

The New River Gorge National Park was established on November 10, 1978, and is one of the newer national parks in the United States. The park is known for its whitewater rapids, which attract many kayakers and canoeists from all over the world.
